When friends of ours referred Melanie and Mike to us, we were thrilled. It's always nice to get a wedding booking, but when you have a connection of some kind, it's even more exciting. Turns out, our mutual friends served as pianist, videographer and officiant on their wedding day!
It was a beautiful late June afternoon by the ocean at Popponesset Inn in Mashpee, Massachusetts. Melanie got ready in the beautiful home of her bridesmaid, while Mike and his guys dressed and enjoyed a few hands of poker in the club locker room at the Inn. The "Poppy," as I called it, was a stunning backdrop for an amazing wedding day.
Melanie had so many beautiful details, most of which were sentimental and incredibly sweet. Mike's brother's memory was honored with a reserved seat by the groom. She had a beautiful video play during her dance with her Uncle, memorializing her father and the many special "father" relationships in her life. Watching the faces of the men who loved and supported her as they came up on the screen was tear worthy. I needed tissues a couple of times that night!
What more can I say? The day was perfect and we were so lucky to be there to celebrate with them.
