Andrea and Flavio | The Cultural Center, Fall River, Massachusetts wedding photography

This glamorous, sparkling fete in downtown Fall River, Massachusetts was full of lush florals, elegant touches and was a photographers dream.

When Flávio first saw Andrea's photo on the Facebook of a mutual friend, he decided to strike up a conversation. "How is the weather going to be tomorrow?" The rest is history. Had he only known that on his wedding day, it would rain buckets, he may have started off with a different pick up line.

June 11th was a damp, dark day, but that didn't stop Andrea's light from shining. After being together 15 months, engaged for 9 of those months, she was ready to seal the deal on this whirlwind romance and fulfill the promise she made to him when he proposed to her at home, in front of her parents, sister and brother in law.

When asked, Andrea labeled her wedding as "elegant, romantic, formal and fun." Yup, yup, yup. All of that. Her color scheme of shades of white, cream, gold and blush were soft, yet formal, the perfect complement to the opulent architecture in Fall River's the Cultural Center. Despite the weather and a couple of small snafus, you couldn't see a trace of disappointment or sadness over the rain on the happy couples faces. Their wedding was the start of a wonderful adventure and a marriage that will last the ages.

I have known Andrea since I was a little girl, and since the day we walked in our parish procession together, I knew she would have an epic wedding dress. After all, we were the two with the absolutely prettiest long dresses at 8, why wouldn't we on the biggest days of our lives.

Shaunna + Michael | A Villa at the Ridder Country Club wedding || House of Lubold, Bridgewater wedding photography

Bridgewater Wedding Photographer

When I got an inquiry and the couples names were "Michael and Shaunna" and we are "Michael and Shanna", I was instantly excited. We're nearly name twins squared! We met one beautiful evening for frozen yogurt, and instantly clicked. Mike was laid back, quiet but provided lots of laughs and important input. Shaunna was,... like looking in a mirror, but a much better dressed, better made up, better coifed mirror image. But still.

As the planning process continued on, we had a blast preparing and shooting an epic engagement session (Link here: http://houseofluboldphotography.com/blog/mike-shaunna-harkness-state-park-waterford-ct-engagement-session-house-of-lubold-photography)

The wedding was epic. Their friends and family were so fun, the music was SO GOOD that the night could've gone on forever and it wouldn't have been long enough to celebrate the love of these two beautiful people. We're so lucky to call these two friends.

Savannah and Jordan | A Kirkbrae Country Club wedding by House of Lubold Photography

When Savannah reached out for more information before booking with us, she mentioned I may know her fiancé. When we met for our consult, I realized I not only knew her fiancé, but I grew up with him and his extended family.

Naturally, getting to shoot their wedding was a joy. It was a day surrounded by family, fun and abso-freaking-lutely amazing florals and decor. As a wedding professional herself, Savannah had an impeccable eye and it was clear that every last detail was remembered. The room, as well as the bride, sparkled. I love when couples remember how impactful a well decorated ceremony space can be. Their church ceremony was surrounded by candlelight and large floral pieces featuring orchids. Ooh la la.

The Kennedys: A Belle Mer Wedding | Newport Photographer

Billy and Kelly. Belle Mer.

There really are no words needed after that. Their wedding was a party, an elegant, delicious, gorgeous party with the BEST cake topper ever created in the history of ever.

At a beautiful beach side rental in Middletown, Kelly and her ladies got ready upstairs while the boys played a game of topless Polish horseshoes. The weather was perfect for some good yard games. It was the perfect day for a wedding.

Their first look is a reason I will always recommend it to our couples. After seeing his gorgeous bride for the first time in her breathtaking wedding gown, Billy was able to relax with Kelly while they took portraits and family photos. They had time to unwind and relax between the photo portion of our afternoon and the ceremony. They were able to enjoy the cocktail hour in nearly its entirety.

Their first dance was so incredible. DJ Frank Baptista Jr. had all of their guests crowd around the dance floor and stay there from their introduction into the Island House and during their first dance. When their guests were invited to join in, they all did. The party didn't stop there. With poignant toasts, including one by the maid of honor about PSI (so appropriate for the year we New England fans have had) and one of the most gorgeous sunsets Goat Island has ever seen, it was a perfect day, start to finish.
